He Has Teeth!

We received an updated photo of our little guy a few days ago. Not only does he have at least two little white teeth on the bottom of his tiny mouth, but he is also STANDING UP in his crib! It's so sad to realize all these milestones that we are missing while we wait for governmental bureaucracy to decide it's time to go to Vietnam and bring him home to us. Currently, we're contacting USCIS HCMC every couple days to make sure that they have all the necessary documents to proceed with the investigation into his adoption case. Today, I received an email from our adoption agency telling us that their facilitator is making sure another medical test is being performed by the Pasteur Institute. I'm also waiting to hear from USCIS HCMC that they have definitely received our VISA CABLE 37 from our local office. We are making progress and I'm still holding out hope for a Christmas present in the form of an approval email!

We'll be there as soon as we can Little Man S!

Waiting for travel approval

I decided to use blogspot to host our trip to Vietnam. I use an iMac at home, but in order to blog from Vietnam, I'd have to buy a Mac laptop to use my existing iweb. Since I'm highly doubtful a new Mac laptop will be in our budget after shelling out twenty thousand plus dollars this past year for adoption related expenses, I decided that blogspot would work just fine!
Here's a link to our Mac website where everything else about our life is at.

Currently, we are waiting for the USCIS in HCMC to give us pre-approval so we can travel to Vietnam and adopt our first child, a baby boy, who's in an orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City. We've had his referral since June 12th, 2008, but it wasn't made "official" until August 29th. Our I-600 was submitted to USCIS HCMC on October 29th, 2008. And that brings us to where we are now.......waiting for approval to travel to Vietnam.

Stay tuned for news of our pre-approval to travel and hopefully our giving and receiving dates will follow soon after so we can buy our plane tickets!!! It's getting so close now. We are almost parents after being married for SEVENTEEN years!
